The year 2018 is drawing to a close. And what a year it has been! Not only our products have evolved, but also GreenPocket itself. A quick look at some of our milestones shows that we did not step on the spot:
Always up-to-date and legally compliant
We have always stayed up to date, both technically and legally: At the beginning of the year, we implemented the conversion to the new data model with market location (MaLo) and measurement location (MeLo) and subsequently adapted our software to the legal requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for higher data security, which have been in force since May. We have closely accompanied our customers during these conversion processes to ensure that everything runs smoothly!
Even more comfortable
We have developed new features such as single sign-on technologies (SSO) and customer self-service integration (CSS) for our products. This makes it even easier to integrate them into our customers' user portals. In addition, we have expanded our hardware compatibility and support not only intelligent metering systems with our Energy Cockpit, but also non-communicative digital meters without an attached smart meter gateway.
Even more profitable
With the successful completion of the EU-funded PEAKapp project, in cooperation with Energieinstitut Linz and other strong partners, we have shown how utilities can improve customer engagement and the loyalty of their residential customers through smart applications for campaigning, gamificiation and household comparisons.
Even more forward-looking
Together with Fraunhofer IIS/EAS we have explored the world of data science technologies and paved the way for the creation of new added value in the energy management in the coming years. We have researched exciting use cases and developed a first prototype for anomaly detection with our team of data science specialists, which we will present at the upcoming E-world (Hall 5, Booth 307). New, strong partners
In Dortmunder Energie- und Wasserversorgung (DEW21) we have also found a new strategic investor and reliable partner for our future cooperation. We were also able to convince other top-class partners and customers, such as the municipal cooperation and partner network smartOPTIMO, of our services.
Always responsive
Whether E-world, EnergieEffizienz Messe or European Utility Week: We were present at the most important trade fairs in the energy sector and thus remained in close and personal contact with our customers, partners and interested parties. This way we always keep them up to date and remain active in the pulsating centre of the energy market. This enabled us to best understand our customers' needs and the latest market trends and to plan our development in a targeted manner.
On the way to new shores
The challenge now is to conquer the international smart meter market with our innovative and future-oriented products. We have already established initial points of contact - not only in European countries, but also in Japan. An important next destination is the USA, where we were able to gain important experience and make valuable contacts through the German Accelerator program during a three-month stay in Silicon Valley at the beginning of this year.
GreenPocket in motion
Although the certification of the first smart meter gateway was confirmed in time as the year draws to a close, the rollout has still not been completed. Nevertheless, GreenPocket has evolved - we have improved our products, recruited talented new employees, expanded our capabilities, earned trust and implemented groundbreaking projects. And of course we want to continue this development in 2019 - with new customers and partners at our side.
