GreenPocket is one of 36 companies among 140 competitors which got the opportunity to take part in the pre-departure meeting in Brussels on the 11th of July. The event was held to prepare all the participants for the EU Gateway to Japan in September 2019 to achieve the best market entry or growth results.
Breaking down market barriers
Over the last decades, the EU and Japan have developed a strong economic relationship and Japan is now the EU’s seventh largest trading partner. Offering products on the Japanese market is a great opportunity for companies, so GreenPocket decided to export its software to Asia and received its first order from Urasoe distributed energy. But there are also challenges when you decide to expand your business, such as high costs, complicated bureaucracy, procurement of necessary licenses and market specifications. In order to optimally prepare the company for systematic market development, GreenPocket participates in the EU Gateway Japan mission and the related pre-departure meeting in Brussels.
The gateway to Japan
The EU Gateway program is a great opportunity for companies to get good support for preparing for entry or growth in the Japanese market, and it is a platform for communicating energy market information. At the pre-departure meeting in Brussels, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences in dynamic markets, meet their coach and local companies.
Due to the professional fair preparation by the experienced team and the well-structured approach, our GreenPocket colleagues had a positive impression of the event. Our start-up company will participate in the EU Gateway program in Osaka from the 23rd until the 27th of September. We are excited and are looking forward to visiting Japan!
